When I ran for governor I never used a prepared speech for anything to win.
Because I ran under the premise of "if you tell the truth you don't have to have a good memory".
And I made the biggest mistake in the debates you could possibly make in a political debate. I was asked a question on TV in a debate and I simply said "I don't know." And when I was subsided I said "But if it's important I'll learn." And I think that they realized at that point that truly honesty was more important to elect somebody now.
A reflection of Jesse Ventura, author of "63 Documents the Government Doesn't Want You to Read ", at a Talks at Google about the importance of complete transparency between leaders and their people. It's not enough to be great. You have to be great together.
