The next time you catch yourself in a cycle of worrying or planning your days away, gently take a step out of time to check in with your mind and body to see how you're doing.
It can be as complicated or as easy as you want to make it. Perhaps it's listening to the morning's birdsong, quite literally stopping to smell the coffee, or keeping your phone in your pocket to indulge in a bit of people-watching as you wait for the bus.
Big holidays abroad and fancy things are nice, but they only happen once in a while and are not worth wishing your life away for. Stop and take a look around and you'll see that everything you ever need is right in front of you.
